Medicare Insurance Plans

Medicare is a federal health insurance program for people 65 years of age or older. It pays for much of your health care, but not all of it is covered, such as prescription drugs, deductibles, or coinsurance.

There are several types of Medicare Plans to choose from.

Medicare Supplements are a health insurance policy sold by private health insurance companies to fill the "gaps" not generally covered by Medicare Part A and Part B.

Medicare Advantage Plans offer low copays for doctor office visits and prescription drugs. Most plans have a $0 monthly fee.

Medicare Part D is coverage for prescription drug plans. It covers all four tiers of prescriptions such as generic, non preferred, preferred and specialty drugs. Part D provides protection for people who have high drug costs or from unexpected bills from unseen illnesses in the future.
